What you'll need?
Plaster molds - you will need molds to pour porcelain into them. Plaster is very porous and draws moisture from the liquid porcelain. This leaves you with a still fragile, but solid sculpture.
Heavy-duty rubber bands - to hold the molds together.
Porcelain slip - I love the Ultra Chic porcelain brand and use it for all my porcelain dolls. Other great options are Bell porcelain slip or Seeley's porcelain slip.
Pouring cups - to pour porcelain into the molds.
Small plastic tub - to hold water for wet sanding.
Sanding sponges for wet sanding - to remove imperfections after the bisque firing.
X-acto knife - to remove seams and other imperfections.
Brushes - to work with raw porcelain.
Kiln - for firing porcelain. I use a Kittec Studio Line CB 20 electric kiln.
Ceramic wool - for propping and stuffing the porcelain pieces before the final firing.
